AAUW Mission Statement

AAUW advances equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy and research. AAUW, founded in 1881, is open to all graduates who hold an associate’s or higher degree from a regionally accredited college or university.  Annual membership dues support the operations of the Casas Adobes Tucson branch, as well as our state and national organizations. By joining AAUW, you can belong to an organization that works to break through educational and economic barriers so that all women have an equal opportunity. There shall be no barriers to full participation in this organization on the basis of gender, class, race, creed, age, sexual orientation, national origin or disability.

              September Featured Event

General Meeting, September 9, 2017, 10am – 12 noon


Our first General Meeting of the year is a potluck brunch on Saturday, September 9th,10 am – 12 noon at the home of B.J. Kass, 13965 N. Embassy Dr. in Oro Valley.  There will be a brief meeting to preview the coming year, and plenty of time to socialize with old friends, meet new friends, and new members. Prospective members are welcome to attend.  Bring your favorite brunch dish to share.  Please call B.J. if you WILL be attending (818-2265).

Directions to B. J.’s home:  From Rancho Vistoso Blvd and Sun City Blvd., take Sun City South past the fire station, then right on Buckingham to Versailles. Turn right on Versailles to its end at Embassy.
